A 20-YEAR JOURNEY IN BREAST CANCER ADVOCACY

These five collections of paintings were created while processing the different aspects of Ross-Paul’s breast cancer journey.

As they evolved, energies stimulating their evolution became less personal and more universal. The paintings are less about personal fear and more about how Fear is dealt with, less about what’s happening to a specific body and more about shared body traits and shared connections.

The more recent works examine how innovation is expanded; how advice is given and received; and what and how empowerment happens.

“The psyche, the soul, the essence of the individual and how the individual fights for, negotiates, or embraces the precariousness of existence has long been the subject of Laura Ross-Paul’s work.”
